TECH: Guard Installation/Removal
The Rebellion hub guards (front & cassette) feature three (3) pin holes in the front face of the guard. The holes are to aid in installation and/or removal of the guards if they're found to require additional torque to rotate.
As pictured above, any adjustable spanner wrench can be used to provide leverage on the guard. We recommend a Park Tool SPA-6 or comparable unit.
NOTE: We chose to use pin holes as they're protected by the dropout when installed. An additional pin hole is included in case you freakishly manage to destroy/wear out one of the others. Wrench flats are out of place on a hub guard since locating them on the outside face would subject them to potential damaging wear during use.
